Meet Alfred Hernandez, a brilliant stylist who takes pride in every hairstyle he creates. Alfred has been a stylist for over 7 years. He learned and refined his skills in Texas while working with his mother. Raised by a hairstylist, he began by cutting his friends hair in high school, gaining the trust and the confidence he would need in the industry. During his late-teen years, he became a general assistant at his mother’s salon, learning all the different aspects of being in a salon. He became licensed as a cosmetologist after graduating high school. He valued being able to change his guests’ look to suit their needs, or even to create a whole new look for them to be proud of.
After working with his mother and seeing the possibilities and freedom of being a hairstylist, he knew he would branch out and take his skills somewhere he could enjoy living. When his mother closed her salon down in 2007, he packed up and traveled out to Hawaii to live the tropical dream and continue doing what he loves. Alfred has been with Elements for over a year, and is a multi-talented stylist. Besides coloring, styling, and creating new looks, Alfred also finds time to Deejay and teach capoeira on the side. He dedicates much of his time to the Boys and Girls club when he’s not creating magic at the salon.
